Kean
University hosted Homecoming 2007 on Friday, October 19, and Saturday,
October 20, on the University's main campus, located at 1000 Morris
Avenue in Union, N.J. Many alumni, as well as students, faculty, administrators, staff
and friends joined the University-wide celebration. This year's many
fun-filled activities incorporated a festive There's No Place Like Home theme that included a number of sporting events, tailgate picnics and a postgame party.
The festivities kicked off on Friday with a concert at Wilkins Theater. On Saturday, the
Kean Cougars met and defeated Rowan University in Kean Alumni Stadium.
There was a postgame party for alumni from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Kean
Hall. Later that day, the men's soccer team hosted The College of New
Jersey at 7:30 p.m. in Kean Alumni Stadium.
Tailgate picnics commenced in the Harwood Arena parking lot at 11
a.m. In addition, the Alumni Hospitality Tent was open and welcomed
many alumni from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and provided an assortment of
refreshments and gifts for alumni. The day's festivities concluded with
a performance of Sleeping Beauty at 8 p.m. in the Murphy-Dunn Theatre,
located in Vaughn-Eames Hall, Room 119.
