Happy New Year! Did you start the year off making resolutions? If so, we can help.

If you resolved to focus on your career, you may want to take advantage of the career services assistance available to all Kean alumni. We have helpful information for your job search, links to job search tips and resources, and even one-on-one coaching with career counselors in the Career Development and Advancement Office.

If you’ve been dieting or working out and find yourself with clothing that no longer fits, we are accepting donations of gently-used business attire which will be distributed to students for job fairs and interviewing. This can really help our Kean students make a good first impression. Men's and women’s clothing and shoes of all sizes will be accepted in the Office of Alumni Relations, 1000 Morris Avenue, Townsend Hall, Room 122, Union, N.J.

Lastly, if you’re looking to expand your résumé and get involved, we have numerous volunteer opportunities available including committees of the Alumni Board such as Student Engagement , Alumni Events, and the Alumni Leadership Initiative. Check out some options here and email us at alumni@kean.edu to sign up.

We hope we can help you keep your resolutions and start 2017 off right!

Warmest wishes,
Stella

I Learn America: Explorations into Diversity, Identity and Inclusion

January 31 – May 12, 2017
Human Rights Institute Gallery

Kean University is pleased to present artworks about diversity from students of all ages and their teachers. Viewers are invited to enter their inner worlds and engage with their personal stories through the images they make. Inspired by the I Learn America documentary and initiative, these novice and accomplished creators seek to foster community conversations that raise public awareness, break down stereotypes and celebrate diversity.

An opening reception with the artists will be held at the gallery on Tuesday, January 31, from 5–8 p.m.

Admission to the opening reception and exhibition is free and open to the public.
