Annette Quijano

Assemblywomen, 20th Legislative District

Assemblywoman Annette Quijano has earned the reputation as a champion legislator who stands up for middle-class families, seniors, veterans, women, children and workers. She represents the 20th Legislative District encompassing the City of Elizabeth, Hillside Township, Roselle Borough, and Union Township; and is Chairwoman of the Assembly Homeland Security & Preparedness Committee, Vice Chair of the Assembly Consumer Affairs Committee, and a member of the Assembly Appropriations Committee. She is a municipal prosecutor for the City of Elizabeth.

She earned her B.S. in Management from Rutgers University and her Juris Doctor degree from the Rutgers School of Law in Newark. She is admitted to the bars in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Supreme Court.

She currently chairs the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators’ Delegation on Racial Equity and is Vice-Chair for the Board of Hispanic Caucus Chairs. Additionally, she’s a member of the NAACP, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey.
